Yes, the 800 hp version with the Whipple is.

However, the "other" Ford dealer in Ohio is showing a 700 hp Roush version that retains the full Ford warranty and can be serviced at any Ford dealership ( or so the ad says...the paragraph below the video)

The Roush car loses its Ford 5yr/60k Powertrain warranty and gets a Roush 3/36 Powertrain warranty

Oh, I did not know Ford offered a 5yr. 60K warranty on the powertrain.
All these years I thought it was 3/36 on powertrain and 5/60 on the body

Powertrain became 5/60 for 2010 if I remember correctly.
Bumper to bumper stayed at 3/36.
Paint is 3/36.
"Outer panel rust-through perforation" is 5 years I think

I think the power train warranty on the roush cars is toast. The fine print sez 3/36 on roush parts only...IE: the blower assy.

According to the link above, the Beechmont Ford setup has a 3/36 "front to back" warranty.
Doesn't say which part is covered by which company though.

Pay close attention to this. If it is a full out Roush package that Roush offers their extended warranty on that would be correct...to a point. It is suppose to pick up anywhere the Ford warranty is void due to the modifications oft he Roush package. This is usually limited to a Roush Phase 1 package for whatever year Mustang you are buying. As far as a number? Yip it will make somewhere in the neighborhood of the 700 FWHP Roush boasts on a dyno. Will it get it to the ground at the track? NOPE! The tune is so full of nanny protection BS it is ridiculous. Been there done that. Thanks to VMP after I had had enough with Roush excuses I talked to Justin. They said they could cure all the torque protection strategy BS and sent me a tune. The car went from being this limp noodle dyno queen number producer to an animal. I took it back to Charlie Watson (seen in the video above) and he went for a ride with me. It scared the crap out of him. He couldn't get over the difference. He stated that it was more aggressive than the phase III 675 package that Roush was offering for 11-14 Mustangs at that time. Made 568RWHP/522Torque btw.

That's interesting.
I can see where the Roush tune would pull back power at certain points in the tune, but then peak @ 700 hp. on the dyno.

It would be cool if someone bought a brand new 2018 GT with that Roush blower and tune package and took it to the track.
Make some passes to baseline it and then flash a VMP tune to see what difference it makes.
I would imagine the torque/power curves on the VMP tune are noticeably flatter and wider than the Roush tune

I ran before and after on my 13 manual setup. Night and day difference. Best of 12.35 on DR's before and best of 11.49 after with a tune change up and an 82mm vice 85mm pulley VMP sold me. I shifted at 7000 and left at 4000. I don't power shift my vehicles, so someone beating the MT82 to death would have reaped even better numbers. I kept the closed air box. The nanny strategies were gone. If you've never driven a Roush tuned setup with a manual you'd not comprehend the night and day difference between their protective strategy tune and a legitimate tune from VMP, Lund, Palm Beach, or other Coyote tuning specialists with good reputations.

A local bought one of the 16 Lebanon Ford Roush 727HP manual setups and had a similar experience. I witnessed his initial passes on the Roush tune. They were as weak as mine like me his ran in the low 12's. He finally decided to seek a custom tune on his setup and was extremely happy afterwards. I never saw any passes he made after that, but as I recall in talking with him where he works (did some business with his company) just the tune got him deep into the 11's on an 18" Nitto NT05R DR. He had plans for E85 soon after and a different wheel setup.

Some young know-it-all kid with too much money and too easily dazzled will sooner or later buy one from Lebanon Ford and decide to go to the track here locally one day hoping to impress his girlfriend and his buds, and get the biggest let down of his life. I'll be there to witness it as well. I'll report back when it does. I usually have video and photo equipment at the track when I go down to watch. So it should be interesting.

One last question... With regard to the PCM in the 07-09 GT500, is that device still available through Ford if it fails or is it in the same ballpark with the other 05-10 Mustang GT PCM's and is now out of production and only available through a possible salvage yard or repair facility? I can't see spending 25-28K on even a low mileage GT500 for which the electrical heart of the vehicle is no longer available.

I don't know the answer to that question without researching it, but I've never heard of a GT500 needing a PCM replaced.

Is that just the middle finger to Ford over the PCM or is there something special about a Chevy 7.0L that it needs to be in a Ford engine bay?

Neither have I but I have come across threads where the PCM has failed in a few S197 Mustang GT's (usually the control circuitry for COP's or FI's and that may be due to improper impedance matching of performance upgrades). In those threads it was revealed that Ford was apparently no longer making the PCM for 05-09 models (possibly the 10 as well) and that one had to send the PCM for repair or find one in a salvage yard since the PCM was no longer made. Just gleening feedback on my concern before making any final decision. Its not failure of the PCM but the lack of availability if that be the case as was apparent in the threads I have followed on 05-09 GT's.

I have found a beautiful 2008 in Charcoal Gray with silver stripes with 9100 miles and apparently all original and a 2 owner. So I am getting closer to making a possible move on one. Just wish I could stomach the tail lights of the 11-12 body. That would be the ultimate compromise between the 13/14 which is out of my budget comfort and the 07-09 iron block.

Yeah the '10-'12 tail lights are horrible.
But the aftermarket can kinda fix that.
I kinda really like these:

doesn't need a blower to make actual power

one cam

light weight

available new from summit for a reasonable cost

great trans options

I've always been a fan of dropping LT1/LS1 motors into dirt toys. They're simplistic, torquey, and a dime a dozen from the junk yard. Sure there's better options for dirt toys, but a trip to the junk yard is relaxing. When it comes to dropping a Chevy motor into a Ford, particularly a Mustang, it's just sacrilege. To each their own, though. I've never done the homework for stand alone motors. But the phrase "there's no replacement for displacement" rings true regardless the brand. Ford's can do just as well as any Chevy/Mopar. Neither of the motors above need assistance from a power adder to be brutal. I can't compare costs for a Ford drop-in stand-alone setup vs a chevy, but I imagine there's a competitive means. If making Chevy power was truly cheaper, they would already have an edge on the performance market, but they don't. Can't speak on trans options, but you can bolt up a T56 to just about anything these days, or a C4 or powerglide, if drag is the focus. I'm not saying you're right or wrong. Just trying to sway you back to the light, lol. If it fit's the budget and the engine bay, by all means. I was never really a pushrod or carb guy, and I've only done 2 stand-alone EFI setups (both Chevy motors). It'd just be nice if someone had a modern GT500 with a bad PCM and no replacement options to see something like a 429 with a nasty cam get dropped in place of the 5.4. Gets more cheesy grins than finding out it's a chevy product under the hood.

Edit: Fack, now I want to find '67 Mustang and drop that 572 in it, weld the piss out of the frame and cage it. Damn you.

It's disgusting!

I dream of being rich enough to do a GT500 5.8L swap or Coyote Swap to a 1967 Corvette. I call it payback for all of the Ford T-buckets with 350 SBC and Fox body LS swaps.

Seems this thread has gone to crap...guess I got out of it what I wanted. LOL!
