Has anyone done it? I remember a few years ago, I looked into the kits on Ebay. They were very well made and went in-between the cushion and stock leather covers.

Fast-forward to today, and I can't find them for the life of me. All I can find is the slip on covers, which is tacky and crappy.

I don't mind pulling up the seats, running a new circuit, etc... Can someone point me in the right direction?

**EDIT**
It helps if you leave "Mustang" out of the search term. I found what I was looking at a few years back. Has anyone installed something like these?

I have done a number of sets, Mustangs and other cars, very simple to install, work great. Will be doing another set next weekend...exact same kit as posted.

You can look into Rostra. Installed CC on my neighbor's car. Good tech support.

Those are the same sets I posted on Ebay. Good to know there's a decent company behind them.

Do you know if the kits with the thumb wheel switches control seat and back heat at the same time? There are only little "heat waves" on the seat portion of the graphic.

Ok, I just read through the instructions. Due to the size of the thumb rolling switches, I'll probably just get the 3-position toggle switches.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to where to mount the switches? Do you have any pictures of the install? Also, it looks like it's a relay setup... where you run a decent gauge wire directly to the battery, but have the relay powered by a lower amp circuit that comes on with the car. Is this right? ...and any tips as to which circuit to tap?

Those look like the same ones I got from Jegs. Love em! I also added an extra layer of one inch foam under mine because of my boney butt.

Fuse #13 in the SJB in the passenger floorwell is an unused fuse that only works with the key on. That's what I tapped into for power. Mounted the round power buttons on the plastic side panels of the seat, on the top towards the rounded section. Will try to get pics for you sometime today.

Instead of hog rings I used thick zip ties, the same as I did on my sisters Stang a year ago. They work fine and are MUCH easier to work with.

Some other things you may need are these clips. The side panels on the seats don't come off without messing up the ones on there. First time I installed seat heaters (on my sisters car) I had to scrounge thru the parts bucket at a body shop to find some. This time just went online and ordered a box. These things are used on the plastic panels all over the car anyway.

You can pick this up at AutoZone, get a couple of the micro 10 amps fuses to go in it also. Connect both power wires to this and pop it into #13 fuse in the SJB. Ground wires to screws under kick panels. Hope this helps.

Man... awesome info. Thanks! What type of foam did you use? I'd love a little more cushion.

Love the add-a-fuses. I always have a few on hand for electrical mods. I'll have to grab those clips, though. I have a wide array of zip ties... even metal ones, so I don't think I have to worry there, either.

Katskin makes replacement covers for our seats yes, but if you check out their site they also have aftermarket seat heaters and gel cushions that can be put into any seat for added comfort. I think the heaters run around $100 per seat

I have these in a few of my other cars/vans. I bought a few sets of their best ones and I do have them in both of my Mustangs and I like and recommend (series 3).

Gig4fun, those do look like nice ones! Thanks for the link

These were well worth the price and effort in my view. With my wifes help I did 5 of my cars that didn't have factory seat heaters.

i wish you well.
