How much E85 power will 1000cc injectors support?

I ran out of injector today at 590/550 on e85 and a D1. Currently running a custom flowed 76lb injector. I've been able to hit similar numbers with 80lb injectors but they were starting to lean out too. The issue is it's starting to run out of fuel around 5200 rpm and I'd like to safely (fuel wise) pull to 6500 or so. Fuel pumps are GT500 with a 40 amp bap. FPDC was under 80%.

So the question is how far have you been able to go with E85 and 1000cc injectors? The car is stupid fast to me so i don't see any more power in the future. I just want to be able to complete a pull to redline safely. I also don't want to use a bigger pulley because it's making decent torque down low.

reduce by 30% from what they will support on gasoline.

IIRC 750-800 on the corn for ID1000

I made 670whp in 110 heat on 80s & e85 with a 67mm at 16.5lbs...We werent that close to maxing them out...actually i think the turbo was closer to max rpm....I know on cool nights it had to be well over 700. I had return style fore system with 3 pumps.

I made 760rwhp through a th400 and 3600 stall converter on ID1000s and e85. That was about all they would do safely with the base fuel pressure at 45psi. This was 24lbs of boost on a single turbo.

Do you know what the delta pressure was? All that free horsepower from the turbo, lol.

I missed that. I'm returnless and don't know if it makes a difference in injector flow. Don't think it would but not sure.

I'm not running the 1000cc injectors, so I can't chime in on those... but I'm wondering how your fuel system is setup. Are you in a situation where you can turn your base fuel pressure up, which will in turn make the injectors flow more per pulse?

I'm running the Bosch 105lb injectors. I got them from Lethal. They've been fantastic so far.

750-800 would be a safe range

Is this what you are seeing or is it just a guess?

I have some new Bosch injectors coming. They are rated at 1000cc/9xlbs. so this thread is more for gathering others experience. They are Bosch Racing flow matched by Bosch so I'm hoping for the best. I was able to exchange the custom flowed injectors I have now + a little cash for them.

I kept the delta at 39.15. I realize it could of been turned up but I just don't want to do that if I don't have to. I also don't know how much more delta the GT500 pumps + bap would support. The fpdc was already in the high 70's and I'd like a little headroom. Maxed injectors and maxed pumps don't leave much room for error.

True. Good call for a stockish system with BAP.

Did you consider the 105s at all?

I have in the past but not this time. I was told these are a new offering from Bosch. They are not modified, have a 7 hole tip, and are factory flow matched. A little research revealed that this is only 1 version of some trick high flow injectors Bosch racing will be or is offering. There is also a 127lb on the market and soon will be a 2000cc.

Wow. Where did you hear all that? Especially the info on the 127lb ones? I'm hoping I don't max mine out anytime soon (I shouldn't.... at least at this altitude).

Mind if I ask how much the ones you got go for the set?

For some reason ls forums always have injector info. I followed the lead from a couple of ls and corvette forums. It turns out the 127 rating is at 4 bar. At 3 bar they flow 115.

I think they go for around $90 each.

I guess if they are flow-matched the price is good. What does 115 equal in cc? Do the compare with the ID2000s?

with a base pressure of 70 psi, i made 960 through the id1000's without issue on e85

it's a great injector, great drivability

consistent 9.2's to 9.3's

let me know when your ready, i'll get you setup with the injectors

Holy crap. I'm nervous with a base pressure of 48. I've always known that higher base pressures are an option for my setup, but at least I haven't needed them (yet).

Bruce, I made 790 on ID1000s, Triple 255 pumps on a return style system. This was with a base pressure of 45psi. I am actually wanting to know this same answer as you.

Beef, Was this with the JPC Triple Hat and 3-465s ? Im hoping to crack 1000rwhp safely with ID1000s. T1(Makers of ID injectors told me no way) with Walboro pumps, it would be marginal with twin Weldon 2015 pumps and I would need a base pressure of 110psi.
