I’M BACK!

It’s been years since I’ve been back on here (last login activity was from 2014, old username LvMyStang). Since then after my last mustang in high school, I’ve had two different Mustangs since then.

2007 Ford Mustang GT

The one that started it all, the one that ignited my passion for Mustangs. This was my senior high school car; I wish I still have it to this day. I traded it in for a 2007 Ford F150 Harley Davidson Supercharged Edition. I don’t have good pictures of it yet, but still digging into the archives.

2006 Ford Mustang Saleen Supercharged

This was a fun car and really cool. You rarely see these cars on the road in my town, so a lot of people were breaking their necks to check out this car.

2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Hennessey HPE850

This was also another fun toy. The supercharger kit that Hennessey put on this car sounded so good, it also grabbed a lot of people’s attention. I never dyno'd but according to Hennessey online with the HPE850 package, it should be pushing around 850 horses - the highest HP in any car I’ve owned to date.


Next Mustang
Eventually, I will be looking to get a 2009 Mustang GT Premium with Glass Roof and convert it into a GT500. Something I’ve been wanting to do for a while however this project, although not in a hurry to get started as we have to clear out the crap in our warehouse.

Happy to be back and see what everyone else has been up to.

I’m a sunroof kind of guy, so the closest OEM thing to it is the glass roof. Even though it won’t open or tilt, I like seeing what’s happening over my head. To my understanding and from what I’ve seen, none of the 2009 GT500’s have glass roofs. Could I get the GT500 and have a shop do a custom sunroof? Sure it’s an option, but I’d think that costs more money and could potentially have issues down the road.

I knew some people would think this doesn’t make sense, and I don’t expect them to understand. That’s the cool part about custom projects, it’s different and unique. Some will like it, some will not. Some may not make sense, and some makes sense.

I could easily buy a GT500 and be done with it - but there wouldn’t be anything special / different about it from the rest. My 2 cents.

I really wish Saleen made their power sunroof design into production. That would’ve been perfect for me.

I’m not trolling. Also, I never said I was putting in a GT500 drivetrain either. Only putting on a GT500 front end clip and will be doing a custom rear bumper. I agree with @MrBhp - if it doesn’t matter, then why bother commenting?

I’ve seen a lot of people do things to their cars that I wouldn’t do to mine (especially on mustangs) but I don’t bash them for doing something different.

It might be easier to buy a GT-500, then get a fixed sunroof installed.

That is an option, but I am not sure I want to go that route yet.
