when they were told the cost of a basic honda civic i couldnt believe it and god forbid if your car turns ten years old

Yeah, where driving is a privilege not a right, but, I believe the COE for a bike/moped was pennies compared to a car. One of the guys I work with had just bought a 911, after fees and cost of the car it would have been somewhere in the 800k range in Singapore vs. the 115k in the US.

Dubai is trying to become another Singapore but hopefully they will leave the car prices as they are now, I just picked up my 2014 GT Premium Manual for $24500 with a service contract till August 2017
