In car oil pan removal

I've gotten mine out without unbolting the steeting shaft. I loosened the K-member bolts to where they barely were holding on and lifted the motor until the intake was against the firewall and had maybe an inch of clearance.

If you already have the transmission removed for a clutch service and need a new oil pan gasket….. disconnect steering shaft then unbolt and pull the power steering rack as far forward as you can……oil pan will slide out the rear. No need to lift the engine or use an engine support bar.
