Now that's funny. Don't they have 20 cars in the shop anyway?

Is the 2005+ heads up? Also, I don't get the "20 vehicles in class". Does that mean they already have committments from 20 NA S197s to show up and race? I'd like to give it a shot but with 20 other cars in this class I'd say my odds aren't so good...

My guess is that its not heads up, but rather a bracket class. Just cut a light and run your number, and you always have a chance!

That means the payout listed will be guaranteed if there are 20 or more cars show up to race the class.

You'll never know unless you try. Your odds suck if you're sitting in the stands watching.

Naaaahhhh. I have to be in Joisey twice this season already. Anything more than that and I exceed the total number of visits on my Mason-Dixon Line passport.

Well, I'll be at Cecil the previous week for a track rental day, and should get a decent number to dial in for the bracket. So what the hey, I'm in, although it's not clear if it's invitation only (the RAM NA Shootout Event they are working with IS an invitation only event). And even though I'm 60 minutes west of the track, I might stay overnight just to go to the meet and greet. Should be a cool day whatever I decide to do.

Call the JDM shop and let them know you're wanting to run. This event is not by invitation only and I'm sure they would love the car count.

Just called JDM and it's bracket, so it should be fine. Hope to see some of you there if possible. Although it's close to home I'll stay overnight at the track hotel...

Too far for me but y'all have at it. Like I said...I've got two trips into Joisey this year and that's two trips too many.

Guys was a bad ass show, lots of nice cars, I won the JDM/Saleen Shootout, took out a GT500 in the finals, Joe had a hell of a pass in the blue car until issues came up. Went 1.39 60ft carring the front end about 12 inches in the air, then trans went up, about 100ft mark went hard off the rev limiter, joe backed out and let it shift, still ran 11.35. I was think that was the best I have ever seen Joe drive that car, It was on a mission.

Congrats! I couldn't decide on Cecil or Mason Dixon for a while there but everyone I knew was at MD so I chose that one. Tore the car up a bit but nothing $$ can't fix. Gotta pay to play!

Move South, my man. Lots of fun once you leave the Midwest.
