I have the Livernois springs and custom cams with the 127500 lift. I am using the Livernois limiters and haven't had any problems with the phasers. I had lockouts previously and I like the street manners with the limiters much better.

Not trying to be a jerk here ok. Just wondering if you have data logged and checked commanded vs actual cam retard?

Without phaser retard, with lockouts, you have to either retard the cams, which causes lose of low end power, or don't retard the cams and lose top end power. I very seldom get into boost when doing normal driving with my car, so the loss of low end power was noticeable. The low end loss is easily overcome with boost but I prefer to save the gas.

Bruce, I have never done a cam retard datalog but my tuner checked commanded vs actual when he did my tune.

I'm thinking my springs are over powering the VCTs. I ran the PAC 3V springs and they have a slightly higher rating than the Livernois and TFS springs.

Bummed to hear about the low end loss though. I drive a lot in the low end RPM band.

I don't think you would notice a thing since you have a pd blower.

But I rarely boost the thing. Only time I frankly see boost is on a dyno or track. Otherwise, I rarely go passed 1/3 of the throttle. lol

FYI what cams should I buy is more of a chit chat topic. I realize that you are posting in a thread that already exists. You might be better off starting a new thread in chit chat. The topic will probably get a few hotheads excited so they can post "search newbie" but after a few of those you should get more knowledgeable answers.

The biggest question is do you want to change springs and or put phaser limiters or lockouts in? That will help with your choices.

I'm not starting anything. I was giving you advice based on your post and the assumption that you were being honest about trying to figure out what cam would be a good fit for your car.

Maybe you should reread my reply to you. In no way did I treat you poorly. If that gets you upset then you should find a different forum. Your skin is too thin for this one.
