Got my first one in 1974 it was a 1965 and at 16 pictures wasn't at the top of the list. Cruising the KoKoMo (drive inn burger joint) was though lol and a bit of street racing. Some things never get old!

The very 1st Mustang I owned.
A 1966 Shelby GT-350 Mustang.
Got it when I returned from Vietnam.

One of my favorite Mustangs I have owned over the years.

Wow, Terry that is one helluva first mustang. Must of been a blast to drive!

That fox looks outstanding as well.
Albert,

I have two brothers and back then we all liked fast cars.
The brother closer to my age saw the Shelby GT-350 in Lexington, KY.
So we drove up together and saw the Shelby GT-350 and believe it or not right beside it was a what ???
A 289 Shelby Cobra !!!
I was not all that smart back then so honestly did not really know what that Cobra really was all about.
Plus it was way beyond my income bracket so didn't spend much time looking at it.
But that doggone GT-350 was a different story.
It was just what the Dr. ordered for a then 21 year old wild man. :hi:
I left in it that day and had tons of fun in it.
Like as always that brother nearest my age was into modifying things.
So we went with a 2-4 barrel set-up on an aluminum intake.
Had a dealer in Louisville, KY change it to a 4:11 rear end.
It was a wild machine for sure back in the mid 60's.

I have had a lot of Mustangs over the years and as time past those all had Paxton superchargers.
And many of them had a lot of other modifications.
Mustangs just seemed to be my choice as the years have rolled by.

Here is a Limited Edition one and it had a lot of modifications to it.
Yes it had a Paxton Supercharger as always.

For some reason I don't have any pictures of my first car, and first Mustang, a 1968 coupe...probably for the best since it only had a 206 in it! Either way still loved that car, especially since I bought it with the $$ I earned during multiple summers.

I do have a few pictures of my second Mustang though...

Yeah she was a blast...but truthfully the 06 GT was even more fun (i.e. felt more solid all around) than the Cobra.

That supercharger whine though.....:naughty1:

Holy shit, are you serious? Damn! What happened to it??

ShelbyGT350mustang.jpg

Well I was 21 years old then so even though I really liked it is was basically just a Mustang to me.
Keep in mind I had just gotten home from being gone 3-years over seas.
So was not some guy that was all knowing on cars back then.
It was around for awhile and was replaced I think with a new 1967 Ram Air RED GTO with a 4-speed.
The GTO was soon modified by me and my brother.

Now when I see what that GT-350 would be worth just totally floors me.

Of course the GT-350 would have been totally worn out even if I did still have it.

When I was 21 I had No-Mercy on driving the crap out of cars back then.

I'm still new blood in the Mustang world. My first mustang was my 2006 I bought in 2011 and traded it in at my job December of 2013 for my Coyote.

How it sat just before selling it:

Unfortunately a week after I traded it I personally sold it on my lot for a friend of a friend, 4 days later I saw this photo:

Car was a total loss. I run the autocheck on it from time to time to follow the car. It was a total loss. However, someone bought it from the insurance auction, just got registered in July. It lived on!
