Hello. I'm new here, so I figured I'd make my intro post.
I've been a automotive enthusiasts for most of my life. I was a certified Toyota technician, but went back to school for Automotive Engineering. Life throws you curveballs, so I build space-stuff instead, and I'm a Captain in the Army Reserve.
I've owned 37 cars and 8 motorcycles so far in my life, and this is actually my first American car and my first V8 car. This 2007 Mustang GT Automatic was my buddies who passed away a few years back. His father didn't know what to do with it, so I told him to name his price and I went and got it.
I typically go through cars like toothbrushes, always wanting to try new things, but this car has a bit of sentimental value to it. That being said, it's probably the longest I've ever owned a car.
I'll post some photos later, but mods include:
Intake & Catback
6-Piston Brembo's from S550 PP2
Rear GT500 rotors with associated caliper bracket
Apex EC-7 18X10 Wheels
Some subtle exterior styling mods
A few convenient interior mods (ProClipUSA phone mount + Android Auto head unit).
Plans in the future are to either swap a manual or a 6R80 trans, headers, electric power steering rack, maybe the Ford Performance intake manifold + throttle body, and finally a flash-tune.
I just want a comfy, fun, capable and reliable weekend car to take to Cars & Coffee and maybe the occasional TrackCross event. Nothing crazy.
