Just bought a mid life crisis '09 Mustang 5 speed. Have had fast cars before, Corvette, Camaros, and a SN95 Mustang. Tuned them with LT1 editor, TwEECER etc. Then got out of the car thing for years.

Anyhow, this Mustang has been worked over by previous owers, is running a little rough (stumbles off idle then takes off like rocket). Had a SCT tune in it. I got the MPVI3 days before they came out with the 4 (oh well) but downloaded the SCT file and am looking over it. Not much similar stuff on youtube everything seems to be for newer Stangs and yes I have the advanced view turned on.

So anyhow, just an introduction... hoping to learn lots and am pretty excited about driving this car on the street and track. The most recent owner left this car sit out, needs paint corrections and etc. Has racing seats, the GT premium interior is gone as well as back seats due to the cage I guess.

Had to condense my signature to fit.

Welcome! Post pics!

Re:Tuning. I had the same discovery and ended up taking a few SCT courses and ordered a couple tuning books before tuning my own on SCT PRP.

A bit of a learning curve if you are used to HPT, but well worth it in the end and straightforward with the SOHC :)

Car came with an old SCT tuner with a tune uploaded. I just got the HP tuner so am trying to digest it all. Did log a run and the idle looks rich ST fuel trims seem to be pulling fuel. Still have to hook up the wide band to the HPT.

I’ll try and attach 2 photos I have. Car actually looks worse in person needs buffed etc. it’s a project so I’m cool with it.

Okay, so far fixed the driver's door window woulnd't go all the up (stayed down the little bit when you open door), tore the door apart and changed the switch. Works, had a misfire on cylinder 2, the NGK iridium plug insulator was broken and would slide up and down and cover the spark... got that working way better. Car still running rich at idle according to the comp auto wideband, don't know how old so just ordered a new AEM 30-4110 and am going to install that and change factor o2s as well.

I tried to upload a log from hp scanner but it would't allow me to.
