It seems that when Jag got purchased by Tata Motors they were desperate to demonstrate that they upped the quality control as well as design. The car came with a 5 year warranty which was nice.
We started shopping for her car last year. We didn’t like the looks of other vehicles in the class. BMW wasn’t her style. Volvo has a sweet interior but it was powered by a hamster. Lexus has that WTF grille and the sales staff had a complacent blasé arrogance that comes with general popularity. Tesla X - we really wanted to love this and we put money down on one but, in the end, the design and interior were just inexplicably boring. Audi was a big maybe but the looks were too generic for my wife. We test drove the Land Rover Evoque which looks really nice - first thing we noticed is what little you get in terms of features for your money - then we went on a test drive and the brand new vehicle had an electrical error and we got stranded on the road. The dealer quickly shuffled us into another brand new Evoque and that one had a different code and wouldn’t start. He just looked at us sheepishly and shook our hand. I felt bad for him.
Then we started looking at the Jag which looks great. The grille has just the right size and dimensions. Unlike other marques it didn’t look like it was derived directly from the sedan. So we placed an order to my wife’s spec. So far it’s been running just fine. She just loves her car.
