Hey everyone, first time to the forum and my first s197 mustang.
If you haven’t heard about the spark plug issues on the 2005-2007 gt’s, there’s a special procedure to remove the old spark plugs. It’s not difficult just takes time and patience. I just removed mine at 62,000 miles and they were stuck at first but after 12 hours of soaking in Seafoam Deep Creep they came out with minimal protest.
What I did: Blow out the recesses with a blower or compressed air. I also vacuumed with a small diameter attachment. Spray some Deep Creep in each recess. The consensus amount is up to the top of the 9/16 nut part of the spark plugs; Turn the spark plug about 1/8-1/4 turn; then wait a while, 12 hours for me; begin turning them slowly, if there’s too much resistance just wait to let the Deep Creep get down there to the carbon clogged part of the plug in the head; mine came out fairly easily, but they weren’t badly burned at 62,000 miles.
Just be patient!
Now I’m trying to figure out what plugs I want to use next, Motorcraft OEM or is there something else that’s not this big of a headache.

There is an extraction tool just incase you break them.

Do you recommend the OEM Motorcraft plugs. All I have over stock is CAI, long tube headers, hi flow cats, x pipe, Magnflow exhaust and tune adjusted to mods.

I have used Brisk and currently using Autolite. I believe all newer Motorcraft plugs are one-piece but I will wait for another member to confirm.
