I recently did a brake job, rotors and pads. After doing so, my brakes are noisy, making a creaking sound like it's the calipers moving or something? I have good tension in the brakes, they're not soft or anything like that, you can just hear them closing. Could I have gotten air in the time or something like that?

Note - this is NOT a squeal or squeak - it sounds more mechanical.

I suggest it as I’ve had issues 2x on another Ford in the last 6 years

Not sure if you have Brembo's, but on regular Mustang brakes... It is essential the caliper guide pins are cleaned and properly lubricated with hi-temp brake grease, since they are a "floating" design. Also, all contact points where the pads touch the caliper be cleaned and a lite coat of grease or anti-squeak (orange paste) applied.

I use brake cleaner and a plastic gun bore bristle brush to clean out the guides.

I am assuming you torqued everything to specs, used quality parts and used and/or replaced any clips where the pads slide into.

Also, don't forget to do a proper "bedding" procedure of the new pads and rotors... I don't think it will cause the clunking noise, but pads and rotors perform much better.
