Old school muscle cars ran larger diameter wheels on the front of the car than the rear?

If you're referring to 1 Alibi 2's ride, I hear what you're saying, but it still looks good.

I like the 15" drag wheels front and rear, but I also like 17's up front and 18's in back. Meaty tires are the key ingredient for me.

ProKit springs up front with your standard 27" tires on 18" rims. The rear is on stock springs with a 29" tire on an 18" rim. That will give it a definite old school rake.

Old street stance with ProKits on all four.

Current Race stance with CJ RA springs all the way around and 28x11.5x15 QTP's on 15" rims.

Hi, sorry but I want to make sure, in the first picture you put on a 255/55/18 tire? on stock springs? did anything rub when someone sat in the back?

The first pic has I think 305/40/18 on there. The second pic has my preferred size of 305/45/18. The last pi with the racestars are 28'x11.5"x 15".

@07 Boss Thanks. I'm writing from Poland, there aren't many S197 owners here, the vast majority of them are S550s, I'm slowly building my car and I would like, while maintaining relatively normal driving conditions, to achieve a look like this - a bit more drag, a bigger and higher rear tire, I'm considering 245/45/ 18 front and 255/50/18 rear or 255/55/18 rear

Yep, that will give you a 28" and 29" tall tire respectively. That should give you that old school rake without having to mess with the suspension a whole lot.

305/45-18 rear, 255/45-18 front with Pro Kit springs. I had Sportline springs before I installed these, but the rear tires rubbed (and it was too low, anyway).
