Hello,
I'm working on my son's 2008 Mustang V6 manual. I just replaced the clutch and flywheel because he had an issue where is wasn't getting up to speed. Pull the transmission and clutch was worn. He bought a kit from Autozone (Gold) and I and him installed it. Car is running great now. But an O2 sensor code came in afterwards. P0135. I checked the exhaust connections and no leaks are shown as far as I can tell. I swapped the fwd sensors from the passenger to the driver's side hoping the code would follow. It did not, same code pop up. I have a Topdon phoenix lite and was watching the sensors live. Sensor 1 bank 1 0.02-0.06V sensor 1 bank 2 0.821V. Sensor 1 bank 2 0.1-0.89V sensor 2 bank 2 0.6-0.09V. The odd thing I see is that sensor 2 bank 1 is steady while bank 2 sensor 2 has oscillations. I am getting a code for sensor 1 bank 1 though. Anyone have a clue what could be going on. Like I said, nothing was changed but the clutch, pressure plate, TB bearing, and pilot bearing. I'm open to more Troubleshooting but not sure where to go with it.

You've probably pinched the front passenger side front O2 sensor harness between the engine and the transmission bellhousing when you did the clutch job, and now it's shorting out.

I was thinking it was a wiring issue. It's not pinched I looked under there and moved the harness made sure it was free all the way to were it branches out. I'm going to separate it from the wire loom and look closer though.

If you look at the wire end of the oxy sensor you see it's metal. When I replaced exhaust system after installing my transmission I pinched the metal and bent it over so it cut into on the wires and car would barely run. Could something like this have happened to cause an intermittent short. Mine was cut right in with contact. Took a while to find it. Maybe yours was similar but not as deep causing wire to barely touched once in a while or it's a bad oxygen sensor.. Just a though.
