I’m sure others will chime in but I want to clarify.. it had headers before but now it’s stock manifolds and the same tune? Is it the stock intake/MAF location?

How did your o2 harnesses look? A new sensor won’t mean much if there’s a wiring issue.

Black smoke implies a fuel issue so maybe you have a bad injector or two? I’d imagine even if they’re leaking the pump would be able to keep up and maintain the pressure for your test. That said if it’s two set of injectors doing the same thing that would suggest the problem lies elsewhere.

More info on the current setup will help and I’m sure others more knowledgeable than me will jump in.

harness all looks fine for the o2 the harness was repaired due to the passenger tire rubbing and ripping the wires

My guess is it wasn’t repaired correctly.

Money rides on the fact that you have the wiring harnesses for the O2 sensors backwards (bank1 on sensor bank 2 and bank 2 on sensor bank 1) assuming the harness was properly repaired.

Common occurrence in 05-09 cars after header work or clutch/trans swap. Plenty of information on this and I have written an explanation as to what takes place when the harnesses get swapped...and yes they are long enough to reach either side.

Not a betting man but this is the first place I would look as mechs always seem to think its not important to mark wiring before disconnecting.

If you want to know why use the search feature.

I’m not familiar with that harness. But if the problem started after the repair, then the odds are that’s where the problem is. Can you inspect the repair and make sure wires are correct? There could be a short where bare wires are touching, or wires got crossed.

Can you be 100% sure of that?
Try switching the harnesses between the two front O2 sensors. At this point you have nothing to lose (except a few minutes of your time). If that fixes the problem, kick yourself on the butt for not thinking of it in the first place. ;)

Maybe this can help to verify the wiring
