Painting stock 4.6 TB

Not sure if any one's done a write up but here's mine. Well after looking at my engine bay I noticed that the only thing not nice looking was my TB. Mostly due to it looking like it was oxidized. So I got the bright idea to paint it and make it look back to new (stock). I was lazy and did not remove the TB motor but would be beter if you did. And if you'd like to prep it more than i did i'm sure it'd come out even nicer. Thanks for looking.

Things needed.

1 Paint can of cast aluminum
2 Sockets for TB and battery cable removal (8MM and 10mm)
3 Torx screw driver for removal of tps and TB motor
4 Flat head screw driver
5 Wire to hang the TB from while painting

My dad has a buffer at his shop, and I have a buddy that powder coats. Been thinking about buffing then clear powder coating my gt500 tb

Nice write up! I did mine in the same aluminum finish and its crazy how much the painted throttle body cleans up the engine bay! Thanks for sharing

For mine I scrubbed it with a wire brush and some degreasor, rinsed it off and let it dry, coated it with etching primer, let that cure, multiple light color coats, let that cure till its tacky, then two light and 1 medium coat of clear, done
