Pedals too close together

Is there a reputable source of aftermarket brake and clutch pedals that space the pedals farther apart?
I often push down on the brake pedal, and contact the accelerator at the same time.

Following I have that same problem. Size 13. Once I pulled into a parking space with the clutch in and had the stereo blasting and didn't realize I was pushing the go pedal as well as the brake. Embarrassing to say the least.

I'd imagine the only way to remedy this is for a smaller pad on each pedal. I don't think there's a way to relocate where your brake and clutch pedal are.

At least they're not alone, seem to be a lot of you all out there, lol. I'm a size 13 EE, never had that problem, /shrug

You would have to remove the pedal's take them to a shop, where they will heat the pedal and bend them an inch or two.

I have this issue as well. I can’t drive my Mustang with my work boots on; pretty much sneakers only.

Smaller pads on the pedals would be fine, the pedals are already quite small,
but if smaller pads exist, please refer me to them. Several times I have done internet searches for a solution to this problem and found nothing. Heating and bending may be a solution, but it presents a huge liability. That is why I am interested in a "reputable source"

Since it is a common problem I looked today down there to see what was going on. What I observed for my size 13s (tennis shoes) was that if I slid my foot completely on the brake pedal it doesn't come close to the go pedal.
When I move my foot from the gas to the brake I am unconsciously pushing on the right edge of the brake pedal which puts part of my shoe over the gas pedal.
And I agree I probably couldn't drive the car in boots.

You guys wanna experience "pedals too close together", try driving a vintage Porsche 911 (AFAIK, even the newer ones). Not only are the pedals extremely close together, but their "pivot points" are from the floor; in other words, they're not "suspended pedals". When I had mine, I literally had to remove my shoes and socks to drive it...

Today I ordered a pair of clutch / brake pedal extenders from CJ Pony Parts.
I also found an entry from 2012 on this site where someone else ordered a pair of the extenders. I was unable to find how they worked for that person, but I look forward to having the pedals 1.5" higher than they are now. Unfortunately, the technician in the CJ Pony video recommends removing the pedals from the car to install the extenders, and I have not been able to find information on the pedals removal.

I installed the pedal extenders from CJ Pony Parts.
I did not remove the pedal assembly from the car, because it is hard for me to get to, and I did not want to take a chance on breaking electrical plugs.

The 1.5" extenders have solved my gas / brake pedal problem. As a bonus, pushing the clutch down to contact the switch that allows the engine to start,
is now much easier. I have large feet, but short legs, 28" inseam.
