2005 Mustang Gt with E-Force. I was finishing up process to convert to E85 with Lito when I started having problems. The fuel pump would run constantly when the key was on and the gas gauge would not work and throw a p0463 code.
Lonnnng story short, I had to replace fuel level sensor because the original fell apart when installing new pump. The ground wire for the gauge was two parts connected by the screw that held bottom of new sensor. The new screw was just long enough to go through plastic body and almost make contact with metal body of pump. Then after a few miles it did, causing the electrical problems. Once Lito told me it was a grounding issue, I was able to track it down. I cut the wires and soldered them together. Then cut the screw length and reinstalled. Runs great now.
