Ya it really was simple! The piping was way more of a challenge for sureGreat find and great price. Definitely doing this. I like the fact that down the road if the silicone breaks down, it seems easy enough to re-do. There's an install video on this page...very simple.

I've looked at these several times but never bought them. I agree that it is probably the best solution but I haven't done it yet.
If you buy them, let us know what you think.
I bought and installed them on my 05 GT.
The leather on one door had come off completely. i used a Dremel to try and remove the foam left behind. It was a PITA. On the second door panel the leather hadn't come off so I need to cut and Dremel it out on spots around the arm rest.
You need to be very careful with the adhesive. Put it on thin and let it sit to get tacky before applying. Once on the door make sure that you have some weight on top to insure contact.
I added some adhesive to the second door and did not smooth it out before applying to the door. After it dried I can see the place where the adhesive was high as it shows through the overlay.
My bad for rushing. I will probably pick up a pair of door panels at a recycler and try again next summer.

K-Mart used to sell that push in trim in different colors. I forget what
it is called, but it pushes into the crevices...
Ah, edge line insert molding...

You can also buy an EL-WIRE version, so it lights up.

I would remove the panel and wire it internally, then run the power lines
out the door harness grommet, to a switch or door open light...
