Its been a while since I've been here...
Well, I'm at it again....4th time. My short block and heads are back at the machine shop getting evaluated... sigh
Had a mishap with PAC Springs being too stiff and destroying a rocker and cam lobe... I replaced the springs, cams, rockers, followers, flushed the motor several times and hoped for the best...
Motor lasted 2 years before it started blowing oil out the rear main seal all over the headers under boost and creating a James Bond smoke screen...

Tore the motor apart and found a substantial scratch / gouge in one of the cylinder walls near the top...not sure how that got there since the metal came from the valvetrain internal to the valve covers.

Anyway, why I am here posting after 8 or so years... What happened to all the OEM Ford parts!!??
Seems like the 4.6L platform has been put out to pasture...

I've been searching for head gaskets, head bolts, GT500 oil pump, etc and there is nothing... All I can find are aftermarket parts from Felpro, Mahle, Melling and some other unknown brands...

I am concerned with using aftermarket brands especially in regards to head gaskets, head bolts, and oil pump for a modified boosted motor.

What are you high-horsepower guys using these days for parts?
I've been told I can trust the Felpro head gaskets as they were the manufacturer of the OEM Ford ones.
But as far as head bolts and oil pumps, I have not gotten any solid feedback.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Also check out TascaParts and Ford Parts Giant. The dealer does still carry a fair amount of stuff....but higher in price.
Group1 on Amazon is a Ford dealer. They have some reasonable prices on some stuff, too.

A word of warning, if you are looking for a specific item, make sure of which revision/update you are getting. Roller rockers, vct solenoids, the GT500 oil pump and the oil filter adapter gasket all have revised newer parts. It would suck to get a 2007 GT500 oil pump if you are looking for the newer '13 GT500 oil pump.

Dealers have the ability to do a dealer search for discontinued items. It’ll show a listing of any dealers in the country that has the parts in stock. In some cases I’ve found parts that way. They can be long gone from production but there could be a couple of instances where there are some dealers that have the parts in their inventory at their location. I managed to get a full set of oem ford lug nuts for my 04 Mach this year doing this method.

Look on eBay for stuff
Oh boy, I have never bought engine parts on Ebay...

I guess I will have to get used to it... Although I do like the idea of searching Ford dealers for these parts. I want the latest revision of parts. Over the years Ford has revised a lot of parts since the last S197 rolled off the line.

I definitely want a 13/14 GT500 pump that has the steel backing plate. Wondering if my billet gears will work with it.
Might have to go with a Boundary or MMR pump.

I need to search for some high-power builds to see whats being used these days...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll update the post if I come across useful info.

If this was me now, Boundary is your go to...........the only folks who issue a full warranty on all of their oil pumps for workmanship\operation as long as you don't disassemble it prior installation. Ain't cheap but you also get what you pay for.

Hope this helps.

I found ARP are the only ones i could find that that supply bolts these days apart from rock auto having TTY head bolts and they stock some of the ARP bolts. I stock rebuilt mine last year and had to use rock auto, ARP and summit racing for 90 percent of the parts. Beauty of ARP is you can use them again even though they cost the earth. I usually judge quality by price so i went for the Ajusa engine gasket set and the recommended Melling 340HV pump.

Here is where I got my GT500 pump:
DR3Z-6600-A DR3Z6600A Genuine Ford Part https://share.google/ImNCawS56Xj0qUxsj

Alternatively.....since I changed my mind and went with the Melling 360HV...I could make you a deal on an installed, but not run '13 DR3Z 6600 A GT500 pump. I have had the pressure relief spring out and back in a couple times.

I also have an unopened Felpro tensioner seals kit and front timing cover gaskets (I bought an entirely new oem front timing cover with new tensioner and Idler pulleys. Tasca or Ford Parts Giant...$171. For whatever reason, it does not come with the idler above the tensioner).
