The short block was a warranty deal that JDM built for one of their customers who had his first engine fail. I don't remember all the details but it was a very low mileage failure of some sort (less than 1000 miles). The customer sent JDM his stock shortblock and the failed JDM block, and JDM reused the rotating assembly and built a new short block using the customer's block. The customer by then had bought another car, and the short block sat in his garage in the crate until I bought it last fall. Everything in the engine was built to JDM's specs and the 'used' crank and rods were virtually new. They did use all new hardware to assemble it.
The cams are blower cams requiring upgraded springs and limiters, which these heads have. Click on the links in the first post for specs on the cams, heads and engine. JDM rates this short block to 1000hp.
