    Hey all,
I am still messing with my project car. It's a 2007 that I swapped everything from a 2012 into. Anyway, the 2012 driver seat was worn pretty bad (big hole in it actually) so I found a full set of 2014 seats. I didn't have the rear from the 2012 so I swapped all of them in and everything plugged in, however, I now have an airbag light on and a U3000 code that says "incorrect component installed". So I am guessing the 2014 and 2012 seats are not direct replacements for each other... but they look good. just need a good cleaning.

I tend to agree on compatability, but that U code is a generic can bus com error.

I just put the 2012 passenger seat back in for now. Light went out. So definitely 2014 passenger seat causing the airbag light.

Can you swap the electronics in the seat?

I think so. I think I just need to swap the thing passenger sits on that detects if someone is in the seat for the airbag.

Yes I think its the passenger bladder for occupancy detection. Changed around 13
