Hi,
Since the ratchet shifter for 2005-2009 is discontinued, does anyone know if the one from 2010-2012 can work on 05-09 Mustangs? I remember seeing a post somewhere about this, but can´t find it now..:( I think some reusing of trimpanels etc was nescessary.

I used to have one, it’s the same piece except the gray plastic shroud is longer for the 10-12 models. I just cut a section out to shorten it and used epoxy to put it back together. Can be made to look proper if you take your time with it.

2011 had a different transmission than the 2005-2010 IIRC, one for a 2010 might work, certainly not 2011+ and any TCU model would not cover 2010-2012

that's odd, I guess my mistake then, the interior is the same those years, the trans went from the the 5r55s to the 6r80, so that surprises me that one shifter would span those years

When you say shroud, do you mean the main body of the shifter? Can the opening of the car be made larger and then use the 2010 trim? Does it hook up to the 05-09 cable?
