    hello,
I have bought mustang 2014 GT 5.0 and now have to replace clutch (its slippery) but problem is I'm not sure what to buy.
Car is little modified (watts link, torque arm, rear lca, bump steer kit, coilovers, bigger brakes, roush stage 3 supercharger...)

Transmission is Tremec (original is MT82 right?) so I am not sure which clutch to buy (original is 23 spline and for Tremec is 26spline?)

This transmission is Tremec Magnum XL?
Clutch is 26 spline? So I can search for GT500 clutch (does it fit my setup)?

Yes that's a Tremec T56 Magnum. I think the McLeod RST is your best bet for street use, or the RXT if it's more of a drag strip car.

DF148500 is what I am running. 5.0 wTremec magnum xl.
Centerforce is the only brand that I use when it comes to clutches.
I put in a Dorman slave cylinder.
What are you doing with the flywheel? The lightened steel ford racing is a nice upgrade. But a resurface is a must, dont just replace the clutch. No matter what you decide to get.
Yo can thank me after the install.

Sorry but I can't recommend running any Dorman parts that are that difficult to get to. For the couple dollars difference get the Motorcraft part.

I said I put one in, implying that it has been just fine for almost 5 years, and multiple track days every year since it has been installed.
Well, guess I now did recommend it... lol

Flywheel should be machined or replaced.
If you have a dual disc clutch, it is not OEM. I dont think any stock clutch was dual disc.

so clutch is 26 spline, right?
is it ok to choose clutch kit for GT500 2014? or it will not fit to GT with Tremec transmission?

I believe that is the same clutch, as the GT500 has the 6060 trans. Which is essentially a magnum trans with a different shifter layout. Just confirm with the seller to be safe.

Sweet Jesus, if you're on the street and you want a dual disc clutch, get one that has springs in the hubs, like an Ace Clutch RPF-437DB or one of the new RAM clutches. A McLOUD RST or RXT will rattle your insides and the drone will make your ears bleed.

If that's too much $$$, just use an Exedy single or SPEC stage 2 or 3. A little more pedal pressure and a LOT quieter.

And before you ask: I'm stupidcharged too, and yes, I make too much horsepower to put the ground in the first three gears. My Exedy stage 2 works fine for street and road courses, NOT for drag racing...

Centerforce, 90% more holding power. Should be fine for 800 hp. Stock pedal feel.
