What do you guys launch at on slicks?

My car is NA with cams, exhaust, gears and suspension. What would be a good RPM to launch at on slicks at the track. My best ime right now is a 12.96 @106 with a 1.88 60ft spinning some because i had my tires at 26PSI..

I was leaving at 7000 RPM WOT on days when the track prep was dead on. Dumping, not slipping. If prep was off, I would still leave at 7k WOT, but I would slip it like a mo fo! LOL My best short time was 1.68.

I would get just a little wheel spin (barely a chip or two). Without a TruTrack LSD or locker, you may not be able to pull that off though.

Slick M1 compound tires at 14 PSI hot (10 cold). It was some seriously scary stuff on the big-end. The trick is to make sure the tires are good and hot so they balloon to 14 PSI or the bead will break loose.

At 3800 lbs, I had some advantage with traction...

or wheel screw those suckers in there....or set them to 12 or 13ish and do a lighter burnout which mickey thompson recommends

Big ass state shaped like Texas
I launch at 6200rpms

26x11.5x15 et street

stock posi, stock clutch

^^ Bitch. lol. :kidding:

FWIW, not that anyone here gives two shits, but launching an NA v6 with the stock 18" BFG's, stall at just under 3K and dump the clutch. I've seen a 2.2 60ft with those. A friend of mine who used to have an 07 4.0 hit a 1.9x 60ft with ET streets on stock 16" v6 wheels with only JLT, AM tune, T-Lok, and 3.73s. I can't wait to put my spydershaft to the test by January..

Last time at the track I was leaving at @ 5000 RPM, on ET Streets and skinnies up front. no slip, just dump and go, lol. pulled three 1.6's 60' in a row.

Now for my question, lol. I'm now Turbo, should I launch any different?
I was thinking maybe at the RPM that I'm making peak torque or should I just let here eat :naughty1:
