They are Eastern Meadowlarks, what I really want to see are the buntings that are native to our area, they have some crazy bright feathers.

What are you using to snap your photos? I’ve got a decent Canon DSLR but it wouldn’t have the range of zoom I would need for wildlife.

 

Nikon Coolpix p900. Painted Buntings along with the Indigo Buntings are awesome.

The spider. He was a big bastard. About the size of a silver dollar. Did you notice the spines on his legs?

 

Wow, I didn't notice at first but now I do.

 

I've never seen a spider like that.

.. for sure, caught a hobo spider a few years ago and that big fucker was mean! Lol. He was not liking being poked with a pencil.
