A friend shot this from the other side of the Bridge and sent this to me. This is Isle of Palms Beach.
That is indeed the rotor with the case removed. We’re in the middle of a total rotor and generator field replacement in our Cogeneration unit for Gas Turbine #3. (They’re trying to kill us in the heat.) You can see the lower section of the case with the stationery blades in the turbine compartment (top part of the picture) below.
That is awesome work. It could always be worse. You could be off shore or in the Arctic. I’m retired from 31 years as power house mechanic working on Saturn, Centaur and Taurus (Solar brand) gas turbine generators. Had a few recips too, just to shake the building. Not much trouble with heat. The plant is in the Alaskan Arctic at the end of the world.
I’m not sure if it’s very “artsy” but not is kind of unusual. I saw it one night last year, then on my walk this morning. A “reverse” skunk, mostly white! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nope it was born a couple of years because I saw it with a litter mate one night. It was very black compared to this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not the best photos but these barn swallows are all around our yard, the one on the chair has a nest in the top corner of our front patio. Should be great for keeping the bugs away from the front of the house!
Dude the one on the left is an Eastern Bluebird one if not my favorite bird. Like how you manage to get that Stand in there. Good work.
Thanks for the clarification! I took that photo from our kitchen using my iPhone through one side of a pair of binoculars lol! We have a whole row of those old-ass fence posts down the middle of the yard and we get all kinds of stuff landing on them… heres our backyard cardinal..
Those make some great places for the birds to perch. If you take the picture head-on you can obtain some serious depth with a blurry background.
