I am looking at picking up some of the Race Star wheels but I am not sure if I should get 15x8 or 15x10. I am going to be using MT ET Streets (bias ply) but I'm not sure which size would be best for my set up (see mods below. Running 3.55 gears). I am considering 27x10.5-15, 28x11.5-15, or 28x12.5-15.

I have been using MT ET Street radials 295/45/17's but with my shitty torque converter the car leaves the lights like Granny is driving (2.0 60 ft with an 11.7 1/4 mile @ 125.7 mph). I have a PI 3500 stall converter in the trunk waiting for the snow to go away so I can install it. Once I can leave the line with some rev's I doubt the radials will hold.

Opinions from all the racing guru's would be appreciated.

If you want to be able to leave hard... go the 15x10s IMHO

Well, first the good news. 126 mph is good for 10.60s if you can get the 60' time down in the mid 1.4Xs.

But with that centri and 3.55s, I think a 28 tall may affect your 60' somewhat. I would go with 28 tall tire, 15X10 wheel, and 4.10 gears.

gearing has alot to do with it too.. but fyi smaller tire spend up faster means higher mph a taller tire slow you do.. don't spin has fast.. then you have to remember what hp you getting to ground if to small you lite them up to big just engine slow you do.

I'm not really interested in changing the gears at this time. I'll see what the car will do with what is has now & make that decision later. What size of tires & gears are you running Paul?

I run 4.10s with a Goodyear 29X11 slick. But, I also have a twinscrew that has instant torque off the line. 3600 stall speed converter with a 4R70W trans (which has a pretty mild first gear when compared to the 5R55S).
