I went Friday to the track and it was so busy that I only got 3 passes with 275/60-15 MT drag radials. I know DR's are not for stick cars, but I don't want to swap tires at the track. They either bog or spin, and I knew that would happen. DA was 850', temp was around 60 degrees.
Best was 12.69 at 113.9 with a bit of spin on a 1.99 60ft. Dead hooked once and bogged and got 13.00 at 114.3. The other pass, I missed 3rd gear, but I had a great time! Best on the stock pirelli 19" tires is 12.71 at 112.98

On the street it acts totally different, I wish it was like that at the track. I only go to the track a few times a year. Only mods are axleback and LCA's, 17x7 racestars front, 15x8 rear.

If i knew how to launch on DR's, it might have a good et. So far they are not any better than street tires for me. I left at idle after the first pass, so I would not destroy the driveline on the unforgiving DR's

Leaving at idle I'm surprised you even managed a 2.0 sixty. Rev it up and slip it fast next time.

I have 305x40/18 NT555Rs on my 2011 GT manual. I was able to come off the clutch very fast (almost dump it) from 3500 RPM on a well prepped track. At 4500 my clutch would slip but the tires would still hook (new clutch going in next weekend to solve that little problem). at a 3500 RPM launch 60' was 1.789. Only power changes are Steeda CAI and Bama 91 race tune.

what pressure in the tires?

what was your burnout procedure?

how was your clutch release procedure?

Radials can work on a stick car, on my 06GT I could pull 1.6x 60s with a 265/40/18 MT ET SRII

also if you're afraid to break it...... don't race it.

20 psi
2nd gear burnout Til smoke pretty good

Had trouble with clutch release. Was letting out too quick. It grabbed and sounded like it would shell the rearend

Not enough practice easing out on the clutch.

20 psi too high - try 17-18

2nd gear is good, but you have to make sure you see 55-60 MPH for 3-5 seconds

forgot to ask how many RPM you were launching at - so on the clutch, I would try to dump it at 4500-5000 RPM and adjust from there depending on how the car reacts.

20 psi is way too high. I was spinning till I lowered it to 16 1/4 psi on DR's.
