I fitted mine today also. I painted where the rails will sit a few days ago. Just to stop it rusting under the rail.
I found using a claw hammer rather than a screw driver more helpfull to lever the back of the k member.
I thought the rear 2 holes looked gunked up with rust and paint so i tried to just force the bolts in.
Nope, wasnt going to happen. so i tapped them out.
that looks better
The bolts went in ok after that. My car is a daily driver with 80000 miles so i didnt expect the bolts to go in but it was worth a try first.
Really easy install, even in my tiny garage.
I really hope so. I lowered my car another 1/2 all around and went back down to 35 profile tires and can't even use ramps to get the jack by the middle of the k-member.Glad to hear it - will change your life lol.
Wait it needs to be tapped?
