Post up your pics and impressions of your DVD/Nav units!

I'm currently looking into getting the AVIC-D3, but I'm considering the AVIC-Z1 as well.

Please let me know what you guys have found to work best!

I have a Kenwood DDX7015 and the NAV4100 and have no complaints. Was a little tricky on the install but nothing that a little common sense couldn't work through.

I like it alot. I love the XM radio, GPS, DVD... etc.

I do NOT love that they have no map data for Europe and no plans to add it.

I like the way that unit looks. Did you just swap out the head unit? How much $ did you have to drop on it?

I got it from Crutchfield, so it wasn't cheep (around $2200). It was pretty easy to install and it sounds better than the Shaker 500.

I'll have to shop around, I do like the way it looks though and I'm all for the features you mentioned it having.

Yeah, the AVIC can also add backup camera and bluetooth... I am not sure how well the bluetooth will work on most of these cars as it is kinda noisy on the inside ;)

If I lived in an area that had it, I would have the XM Navtraffic enabled as well...

I have the PIONEER AVIC-D3 and love it! Only thing is that you have to have the NAV DVD in to enter a route....so it can be a pain if you have music CDs and you want to map out a route. BUT if you have an IPOD like i do you just connect it to your D3 and never put a music CD in again.

the D3 also has the options of Bluetooth, IPOD, XM, Serius, Backup camera, XM Traffic, etc

Here are a few pics...YES I AM A PICTURE WHORE!

the d3 is probably the best for the money hands down. I think i am gonna go without nav and do the new avh-p4000dvd............. Shipping soon and a retail of 500.00......................... what do yall think?

I know it says d3 on it , that was a misprint when pioneer did the power point for the national sales training.

I'm thinking about a d3 after the new price; but can you still disable it to view movies while driving? I read that the new models cannot be hacked.

Does anyone know if the new stock 2008 GT Nav system work in a 2007 or earlier? I would like to keep it looking stock if possible, but if it is a PITA, I will just go the same route most of you already have.

They work but you'll get an error everytime you load it up. It merely just slows you down and forces you to press ok after it loads up.

The stock ones are nice and all but you get much more out of an aftermarket HU.
