Shaker 1000 headaches! Anyone know how to reset?

Well it's happened again. The dreaded CD error message has appeared yet again. Usually it will fix itself or so after a few hours, no dice this time. I was supposed to have my new headunit in my car 2 weeks ago, this is the last time I trust my cousin to do me a favor. He's a stereo guy at a dealership, got me a steal on a nice kenwood plus a free install. Anywho, does anyone know how I could somehow reset the shaker so it will re-initialize and try to read discs again? If anything I just want to get my CD's out unharmed. Seriously though, I hate listening to the radio! All those commericials and crappy music...

On my second Shaker 500. Want something that doesn't skip or get errors someday.

You should get that kenwood and install it yourself. It took me a couple hours to install my Alpine.

+1 on installing it yourself. I put the head unit in my brothers car in about a hour.

Never had a problem with my 1000.

I have shaker 1000 in BOTH of mine and they both work great....

Well I just want the damn thing to work for 2 seconds so I can remove all of my CD's. I really hate listening to the radio. It's been so long, I never realized how much crap is on the radio today...

Well it fixed itself the other day so it works again. I really need to start riding my cousin to get me the unit so I can install it if he wants to dick around.
