All done with my 6060 install. Thought I'd share a few pics of the process for those who may be considering doing this.

In the past I have had to lower the k member and motor and tilt the motor back to get the transmission to clear the tunnel. This time I tried clocking the transmission. It worked. Didn't have to lower or tilt.

Transmission out.

New McLeod flywheel. Beautiful.

Floater ring and first clutch installed.

New RST installed. This was one of Tom's group buy purchases. Great price.

Installed a JPC clutch line during the swap.

6060 on the pallet.

Went in without any motor lowering or tilting.

Dynotech GT driveshaft fits great. Glad I didn't spend the money on a GT500 shaft.

There you have it. 6 speeds.

This swap wasn't much different than a changing a clutch. No fabrication required. The transmission is quieter and shifts better than the 3650. I even like the stock shifter.

Congrats, welcome to the 6060 club. Think about the KR short shifter, it's pretty bad ass.

4.10:1 gears here. I thought at first that I'd want to go with 4.56s, but this setup is growing on me.

I have 3.55's. They are working very well for everyday driving. I'm breaking in a new clutch and haven't had much of a chance to get on it yet. To get close to the gearing of a 3650 in 1st and 2nd I'd need 4.10's. A gear swap might happen in the future, along with a trutrack.

Ive been running a 6060 since 07, started w/ 4.10's, then went to 4.56's.

Ive gone on 1000mile one way road trips (Rockingham from Lake Charles last November) and still managed 25+mph rolling 80ish ;)

The 4.10's are great for roots, and I think Ill end up with 3.90's for the turbo.

4.56's have crossed my mind too. I'm running a 2.3 Whipple with about 15lbs of boost. Motor has forged rods and pistons at 9.5:1. Recently went to an 8 rib and 10% overdrive with a 3.5 top pulley. Haven't gotten to the dyno to see where everything is at. Scheduled for next week.

Did it effect your tune due to the gearing ratio changes? I heard you need a retune with a power adder doing the 6 speed swap.

And how's your first gear feeling? Kimmer mentioned in a thread a while ago that "torque management" needs to be turned off in the tune or else first gear falls on its face until you hit 4000 RPMs or so, when you're getting on it.

I have seen this on my car, but haven't fixed it yet. My tuner said all of that shit is already turned off.

Nice write-up Bruce. I was hopeing to see you at the track last night. Installing an RST in my car next week. Smoked the stock clutch in high gear last night on the first pass.

So far so good. Like I said I'm breaking in a new clutch and taking it easy. Put a hundred miles on it so far, I'll put another 200 or so on this weekend and use it for work next week. Dyno appointment is for this time next week.

All the tuning stuff is kinda like voodoo to me. I understand the concept and basic stuff like timing, a/f and how important the maf table is. My tuner tells me what he's doing and why but to fully understand him I'd need the years of experience he has.

I almost feel bad for how much I'm laughing right now Marc. Hopefully we will get to run each other in a few weeks. Good luck with the install. How did that one run go before the clutch went?

Nice job bruce. I'd never done anything as extensive as this, how do you support the transmission while you are positioning it and bolting it up?

Laughing because my rods want out of my pan!

I was on my Toyo street tires because my 28" slicks will not arrive until today. I had a 1.94 60'. Controlled tire spin by using 1/2 throttle in 1st and short shifted into 2nd at 5,000. 3/4 throttle in 2nd and shifted into 3rd at 5,500. Full throttle in 3rd and shifted into 4th at 6,000. Drove through the clutch and stuffed the rev limiter around 1200'. Lifted and drove it through the lights at 1/2 throttle. Ran a 11.98 @ 125 MPH. Popped the hood after the run, clutch smelled nice!

Should run low 11's around 128 with slicks I would guess.

Try not to scare John's horses will ya.
I couldn't believe how loud that Whipple screamed when I first heard it!
Thanks for the pics and congrats on the install:beerchug2:

did you wire in the lockout or no? and if so, how did you do it? I have a 6060 as well and I am thinking about wiring into the brake system.
