OK I need some help from you math wizards. I have 255/50-17 tires and wheels. The dia. is 27.03 and if I am running 3:73 gears what is my final gear ratio?
Thanks~

Yea a stickie might be what the doc ordered.I guess eventually I should make this a sticky so I can quit retyping it.
stock tire height divided by new tire height times gear ratio = actual gear ratio.
So as psfracer stated, assuming your stock tires were 235/55/17s:
27.18 / 27.04 * 3.73 = 3.749

Is there a calc for us Auto guys?
You can do it by hand knowing the transmission gear ratios
See attached photo showing comparison of manual transmissions to automatic transmission.

My Calculator takes all this into account...Why would it be any different for an auto? You still have tires, you still have a differential with gears in it...it's gonna be the same.
Or you could just use my calculator...I guess eventually I should make this a sticky so I can quit retyping it.
