I bought a set of the Roush Side Splitters for the 10-12's and wanted to modify them to fit my car.....Not sure if anyone has made a thread about this before but this is my write up and how I am doing it.....

Here is the start and I will post up more pics of them as I get them installed and throught out the process......

First you have to cut off all the tabs that are sticking up......Then grind them smooth......

I just finished one so here is after I cut off all the tabs.....but I have not grinded them smooth yet......more pics of that will come once I finish that....

Been working on the other one and about got it finished......Put more 3M tape on them and want to leave them in the house so that the 3M tape will cure and stick well to the splitter......Plan on installing them tomorrow.....Will have many pics to show how they fit on the car.....

I mocked them up to the car today and they are going to look really good I think.....the 3M tape is going to play a big part in the install and then I am going to go back and drill 3 holes into the side skirts and put about 3-4 screws in it just for extra strength.....but in all honesty I think the 3M will hold them fine.....Cause I added quite a bit more tape to them.....

If you want that 3M tape to stick really well. Get some adhesion promoter and use a heat gun on the 3M tape to get it warm before you stick it. I use it all the time and if you do those steps it's really strong.

This^^^^ Adhesion promoter on a super clean surface = STUCK!

I believe Sam(19cobra93) did this to his car and there is a writeup somewhere, but good luck. It's gonna look good!

NICE! I have this on my to-do.. I have a 2010 Roush splitter here that I will be retro-fitting to my CS bumper.

Haven't got them installed yet on the car.....I went to a car show today with the car and plus I ran out of adhesion promoter and picked some up today while I was out.....but I will have them on soon and many pics to come....

That is what I was thinking......adhesion promoter is a life saver when it comes to 3M tape and sticking.....

How much did they cost you?

I bought them for $125 bucks from a local dealership ( Know the owner very well) and I already had some 3M tape so far that is all I have invested besides time....

Are you putting these on stock side skirts

Yes they are going on stock side skirts......I mocked them up and there is a very small gap at the front of the side skirt and where the splitter meets u at but that is the only thing that I saw with them that is wrong with modifying them to fit.......It will be an easy fix....I have a couple ideas and will let you all know what works the best......the space I am talking about you could probably fit 2 quarters laying flat together on top of one another in the slot ......so it is no drastic hole or anything.....

I've been curious if they work and you have the courage to do it. Look forward to seeing the finished results. Take lots of detailed shots please.
