Bump. Edited first post. Nevermind it won't let me edit. I can't get videos to embed either, help with that would be awesome!
So I figured I'd give this a good ol bump and see what's up. TGR, if you ever went through aff or are in the process or something and got a question, just ask. I do have a coach rating so I could always explain something on the A card to ya and save you some time.
I jump a little more now, I have something like 435 jumps. I have 2 cutaways (I'll throw a vid in of the second one), which is where the main parachute says fuck yourself and doesn't open or fly properly. As a result, you cut away (by pulling a cable) , and that allows you to deploy a reserve.
I did a couple wingsuit jumps and had a blast doing them, it was quite fun. However my dropzone does not have a lot of wingsuit activity so I stopped jumping with them.
I mainly freefly, which is where you fly your body in all positions. This is a little different than the traditional belly to earth type of flying (pictured), free fall speeds like the picture here are on average in the 120 range.
Freeflying is flying on a more vertical axis. Freefall speeds (terminal velocity) increases as a result of flying in this style.
Feet to earth, known as sit flying or head down (which is incredibly hard to learn haha) Freefall speeds here average something between 160-200 mph, depends on the group jumping really.
I'm throwing up a few videos because why not.
This one is something known as canopy relative work. Bear with the language as it was pretty nerve racking and I had no filter haha. If you wanna see where I finally grab it (it was winter and my gloves could not grip it), fast forward to 2:30. I then slid down the lines and we compressed what is known as a 2 stack. Some people do some crazy stuff with that, but like wingsuiting, my dropzone just doesn't have the people into it, so I don't do it very often.

A canopy aspect I am getting more into though, is the most dangerous section of skydiving. That is known as swooping. Basically, you dive the wing at the ground and build up speed. You then translate the vertical speed back into horizantal speed just above the ground and rocket across the ground. Pros go someting crazy like 70 mph. I'll just leave this video for it. Very very fun.

Jumped from a helicopter.
And here is my second cutaway, which was a reserve ride. I think I sattled up in the harness at about 1500 feet. Fast forward to 1:05
