I am replacing the clutch and flywheel on my 13 GT, do I need to get new flywheel bolts like from ARP or can I reuse the stock ones?

Usually an easy way to tell is the torque spec. If it includes "turn XX degrees" it's a TTY and should be replaced. If it's just an in-lb or ft-lb spec they can usually be reused.

That being said I'd compare the cost of new bolts to the chance of something failing from an old bolt that's overworked.

I'll re-use them 3-4 times before considering replacement. I'm yet to see a flywheel bolt failure.

Here is what Ford Service manual says

  1. NOTE: The flywheel bolts are torque-to-yield design and are not reusable.
Remove the 8 bolts and the flywheel.
    • Discard the bolts.
    • To install, tighten in the sequence shown in 2 stages.
      • Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
      • Stage 2: Tighten an additional 60 degrees.

had a tech use the Nm figure and clicked that up on his ft/lb torque wrench when installing some flywheel bolts once on a 350z. Tightened 3 of them before one finally snapped off

What he said. After breaking off a water pump bolt flush with the block I will listen to Ford from now on and never re-use a bolt when Ford says not to. The cost of a quality bolt/screw extractor kit with premium left hand drill bits will cost you way more than new bolts.

Either new oem bolts or just go ahead and upgrade them. I upgraded to reusable arp flywheel bolts, they are sold in sets of 8.

While I don't know if there is really a difference for 2011+, I used part number 254-2801 for my 07. Which lists as a 96-04 part most places but is really 96-10 at least.
