its been almost 2 weeks since ive started driving the stang, and my god do i miss the HID lights i made in my jeep.

luckily, i had some stuff laying around so i ordered a few more parts, and have been working on it little by little for a few days.

used aftermarket housings, as OEM is permaseal.

first try, mounting projector in front of reflector bucket. left too large of a gap, and you could see behind the shroud :/

today i took some measurements, figured out i could most likely fit them mounted from behind. sooooo here we go...

Interested to see the final product, most retrofits I've seen look googly eyed or projector too small... yours with the reflector still behind but inset projector has promise

Yay! In for the progress!

I was just going to ask if you were going to make a thread about this. Started thinking of doing this myself just last week and started doing my research. I was thinking of the 3" projectors as well since 05-09 headlights are so big, figured the 3" would fill it out better. Definitely interested in what wiring harness you went with and exactly how you wire it up. I have a couple ideas how to go about it but would like to see how you do it.

Oh and everything looks great by the way!

well for now they arent sealed up - i need to check horizontal and rotational aligntment before all of that - i think i screwed the pooch on alignment but we shall see.

im used to the huge one piece housings of my grand cherokee, that are easy to figure out :/

I completely agree on the googly eyes (that's why I went with my Saleen kit) --and I agree that this one is definitely looking a lot better since the projector lens is recessed far back into the reflector dish. Can't wait to see what this looks like on the car

fin!

a few pics of checking alignment, did some minor adjustments (minor meaning, at first the cutoff hit the ground about 7 feet in front of the car......) then tightened everything down, put some steelstik in place to ensure everythign held. ended up having to trim one of the shrouds a little bit, and the other one a little more.....oh well.

that was one long sentence.....anyway - pictures!
