I'm probably way overdue for an intro thread. I bought my 2007 GT/CS in November 2011 and sold
it in November 2015 after buying a '13 white GT Premium. Just before Crimmus I found a DIB '14
with leather Recaros and decent mileage, so booked a 1-way ticket to O'Hare and drove 12 hours back.
Now I need to sell the '13. Yeah, I'm crazy.

I bought my first S197 (and subsequent ones) because it can do multiple things well. Like carry churn:

And drive to work on Monday morning:

Prior to the Mustang(s), I've owned (in order):

  1. 92 Civic CX hatchback - So lightweight it didn't even have a passenger mirror
  2. 2001 PY Integra Type R - lots of fun but not really that fast
  3. 1997 M3 coupe, black on black with Vaders - my first real taste of RWD speed
  4. 2003 Pathfinder - DD while I messed with 240SXs and a mediocre tow vehicle
  5. 1993 240SX hatch with SR20DET(y0) - track car
  6. Datsun 510 wagon - never really got started and sold it
  7. 1996 240SX - first taste of Bilsteins
  8. 1995 240SX - was working on an LS swap when I dropped it, sold it and the Pathy, and got the GT/CS
The S13:

I started messing with Wilwoods and custom brackets on the S13 and ended up selling a hundred
of these kits over the years. I'm currently working on a solution for the S197 and am pretty close to finishing it.

What are you making, to adapt different calipers?

The original intent, used in prototype on the 2007, was to run 2011+ Mustang GT rotors on the street and the 2-piece ones on the track, each with a set of bedded pads, but I ended up just running the 2011+ GT ones to keep cost down.

The new setup is being designed for the 2007-2012 GT500 rotor only.

Yes, those are Wilwood Superlites powdercoated red as they're only offered in black and nickel plate, the latter of which costs nearly 2x due to the Thermlock pistons. They're (supersede) P/N 120-13230 and 120-13229 with 1.88" and 1.62" pistons. While the pedal was a little longer, the clamping force was insane compared to stock. I've decided to go down a bit in piston area and use 6-piston Superlites on the 2014.

I'm hoping to get them mounted this week but need to first figure out what I'm doing about track wheels.

Nice car history!
thanks! Clearly I was a little stuck on Nissans for awhile; I found myself not really excited about the options,
save the 370Z. If I were in the market for a 2-seater though, there's a snowball's chance in hell I'd buy something
other than a Vette. I see very few exciting, affordable options past that.

I've become a big fan of the Mustang; whenever my Nissan friends make of my choice, I'm all
