Wife was racing down the track and the car shut down. Stopped the car and re-started only to hear the wonderful sound of metal on metal coming from the passenger side. Sounds like it starts low and while idling it's at the top of the valve cover. Code P0345 Camshaft Position Sensor A Bank 2 is showing. I cleared it, started the car again and the code came back along with the metal clanking.
There are no holes or leaks of anything and the oil via the dipstick looks clean.
Intermittently for the last few weeks the PCM has been showing low oil pressure, but no codes and the message goes away in a second or two. Car's been running fine.
No shift was missed during the run, although I did hear the rev limiter being hit while she shifted from 2nd to 3rd on a previous run. Put the car on a flatbed and had it taken to a shop. Won't be able to get into it until next week.

So another plus side is I can do whatever the heck I want and she's going to go right along with it.
