RealSpeed (Long Island, NY Mustang Shop) had Dyno day this Sunday, with a bunch of fast Mustangs hanging out, BBQ and a Mustang Dyno which is known to break hearts and open wallets. StkJock and 94Tbird where also in attendance, i was suppsed to be there early but my good friend had a son and i had to attent the bris... so i missed alot of Mustangs put down some serious power.
The Saleen put down 416 WHP and 385 TQ, this is with a 3.6 pulley, 39lb injectors and a GT500 TB running a JDM email tune, it made just about what i expected. The A/F was rich all the way through, particularly at the top end, you can see the ehaust blow out black smoke just at it approached redline, good to know for sure the tune is safe despite the fact that ive driven the car hard for months already with this set up, ive run Drag, Open track and Autocross events some in 100 degree weather and the car performed well. My 3.6 pulley is rated at 7lbs but i made 9.2lbs at the top, the tuner (Dan Carlson) says its most likely from the exhaust bottle neck, despite adding a Magnaflow high flow catted X. I knew approaching the limist of the stock fuel pump but Dan also said my 39lb injectors dont have much more in them either. He recomended going with the GT500 dual pumps with some 60lb'ers.
