Hey guys, just joined here on the S197forums. See alot of familiar faces around here. But a small introduction of my self then to my question. My name is Kipp. I have a 2007 Mustang GT, Alloy in color, lots of mods and what not. Whipple Supercharger, 4.10 gear, UPR X-Pipe, Flowmaster Axlebacks, Ford Lowering kit, and lots of other goodies. Pro-Dyno Built and Tuned. 504 Horsepower and 474 Torque. A few pics are at the bottom for reference of the ride but im looking to see who is running skinnies and wides on their S197s? Ive seen a few, I just bought a set of Prostars for a good price, I know im going to have to run spacers but I wanted to see others setups. I cant afford bogarts and really dont want them since there not useful on the street. But show me what you guys have, thanks. Kipp

i am running 15" prostars on the front...pressed in moroso 46185 3" studs. had to drill out the hubs with a 37/64 drill bit. i am running a 3/4" spacer to clear the calipers.not having any rubbing, clearance issues, or turning issues. i did go to discount tire to have them balanced since i was feeling a wobble in them.. 30# of tire pressure

did u try prostars for the back too. I have 3.5 inch studs and need a 15 inch tire for the street, I was using the bogarts but I don't want to destroy them.

Thanks guys for the help, I got the prostars for mine from a 99-04 model setup. Any more pics of the front set up? They look great on there, not poking out or anything from what I can tell. Can you take some pics for me of the studs and where you drilled the stuff at. Thanks Kipp

psfracer, I have been looking threw your videos and I must say that is one bad ass car you have. Could you give me a break down on what all you have done to your car. Im wanting to get my 07 to run those times. I need to build a short block, just dont have alot of cash right now to do it but its a def. must in the future. Very impressed with your car. Down right nasty. Plus that custom sheet metal intake and intake tube is really nice on there.

1) Whipple with a 2.625 pulley. (HA--just a little bit smaller then your 3.5 huh?) With 504rwhp, you are already there prettty much. Just know that my car hit a wall at 13psi---and my rwhp did not improve at all until I changed from the stock throttle body to the black diamond 1600cfm monoblade.
2) Forged bottom end: cobra block, cobra crank, scat rods, JE pistons. Now a cobra block is not necessary, I just went with it because at the time not everyone was sure how strong the factory aluminum block was and I didn't know how far I was going to push the car. Today, I would stick with the aluminum block and go with a forged cobra crank.
3) 4.10s, 3300 PI converter, M&H 325/45/17 tires---all though I myself just switched to bogarts with some M&H325/50/15 drag radials.
4) Typical suspension stuff, CHE UCA, J&M LCA's, Powerhouse Aluminum driveshaft.
5) Stock heads and cams, stock cid of 281. If you were to build a 298, or go with heads and cams, or both, you would easily make more power then I at a lower boost. I myself couldn't see spending $3500 for heads / cams for 40rwhp.

Thanks a bunch man, your car is freaking nasty, I watched all the videos and just kept doing my homework to figure out how to get mine to be there. Im going to use my stock block for now, just need to find somewhere to order the forged internals. Im not really wanting to make an extreme amount of power, 550-650 range but I want the car to be reliable since its my only car and I daily drive it, but I want to make sure it will hold, im on the threshold now on the stock rods with as much power as I have but the tune is safe and the car has ran awesome, just wanting alittle more out of it. Heads and cams, nah, not going that route either, cant see spending the money there. The 3 valve heads flow rather well, and I know I need to upgrade the stock throttle body to something else, just dont know what as of right now. but thanks so much for the info, really helps me out. Got any pics with your bogarts yet?

Pics with the bogarts and the race set up coming in a few days. I ordered some Moser axles with 3 inch studs from Mike at Powerhouse and they are slated to arrive on Tuesday. I got some nice Moroso front runners and new M&H's already mounted.

The water tank, like the intake setup, is from Adam at ST. That thing is huge as it holds 7 gallons, and with the 3/4" line going the length of the car the capacity is over 8 gallons. I am almost finished installing it, as I routed all of the lines yesterday and now just need to mount the pump in the rear. I will post up all of that when finished also.

Thanks Don, I have also done alot of research on your ride too. Very bad ass!!! Im hoping to one day get mine down into the 6's. I just need to come up with enough dough to build me a short block. Everything else is pretty much there. Im trying to figure out if I need any suspension work? Im lowered but thats it. No UCA or LCA, I have 0 wheel hop so thats not an issue, spinning is, and the car does tend to jerk the front end up like hell on street tires, I can only imagine what slicks would do, "Probably snap and axle or 2 is my guess." But im trying to get mine down still with it being a 5 speed, I love how the autos are working so well for you guys.
