A very good customer of ours brought his 1967 Mustang and said it needed some updates.

Originally, he wanted to install a 5.4L GT500 engine, but the car is a pretty clean so he didn't want to get too crazy and cut it up.

He decided he wanted similar looks to a previous build we did for him seen here

For the 67, we decided to build a 302 with ported heads and intake, a mild camshaft a TCI C4 transmission and a 4.10 Ring & Pinion. We also fabricated a custom exhaust system with longtube headers, custom mid-pipe, and Magnaflow mufflers.

To get the look of the GT1000R, we installed a strut type rack and pinion front suspension with coil overs, Super Snake 20" wheels and OEM GT500 brakes.

We installed a Be-Cool cooling system and re-installed the factory air that was removed by a previous owner.

Here a few photos

Will look completely sick after the wheel change! Great job guys! Does it run pretty strong?

I agree...sick, except for the wheels. They make me sick, atleast on that car.

I agree, and the customer does as well. He wants to find an exact replica of that wheel in 18". I suggested GT500 KR wheels, but he said they need to look exactly the same, just smaller.

you guys do some kick ass work man... hope he can find them in 18's,

I'd love to bring you guys my 67 and have it freshen up.

nice, I'd have gone for a 429CJ or similar size motor, but heck I'm a HP freak

'67-'70 Fastback is on my list/shops list to build... One day maybe!

I'll agree with everyone else saying that the smaller rims will set it off!

Would look fantastic with some original style torque thrust wheels in a much smaller diameter. Something more like this, maybe?

Current setup reminds me of this:

Very nice. Will look even better once he finds some 18" wheels. The old mustangs are slowly growing on me when done right.

Agree, looks great but needs the smaller wheels. Big blog might have hp but this motor will make for a good cruising car, and have adequate power.... beautiful job.
