I'm interested getting the Corbeau CR1's. Issue is that I don't want to have the airbag warning light on and I want both front bags to function properly. Don't care about side bags.

I have read many different threads on different websites but most are people thinking what may work rather than actual people having it done.

Anyone here actually have aftermarket seats that got the SRS system working?

I've got corbeau's, no light here.

get the simulators from ford from the 05-10 stangs from a ford dealership or online, don't remember where exactly where I got em, but they were like $25 shipped. cut the rear cover off of it, solder five, 10 ohm resistors(you can get em from radio shack like 2 bucks for a 5 pack, get two packs) in parallel into the original 6.8 ohm resistors spot that you remove. connect up and done. this will correct for the seats light. the passenger seat sensor will have to be swapped over. just takes a little time and a set of pliers to swap it out. also don't forget to install the seat rail sensor on both seats.

also I know there are multiple ways to make the 2.2 ohms required. I used this one for me because it was convenient and quick.

Great, thanks. I think I feel comfortable enough to go ahead and but them. Many people have had the same reconditions.

The speeds are nice but that would be $1,500 for the pair not including rails. With rails your looking at close to $1,800. The Recaros are also cloth, Corbeau CR1's with rails will be about $1,200 in Microsued.

Thank's for your help,,,much appreciated..Now i have to see them in person before i pull the trigger :)

You really should see and sit in them before deciding. I had Recaro Sport in my '93 Griggs GR-40 Fox-3 and the material holds up just fine after several years. Granted, it is not a daily driver, but it does see some street use and several HPDE weekends a year. Recaro Speed is a better track seat, but it is a PITA to get in/out if you drive the car on the street.

A friend have the Corbeau CR-1 and I absolutely cannot get my back into the seat because those shoulder wings are pushing my shoulders out. We are all built differently so that may not be a problem for you. But definitely find a way to sit in these seats before deciding.

Yep, driving 2 hours to Chicago tomorrow to closest dealer. They have Corbeau and Sparco on display.
