In National Dragster Weld Racing says they are back with rims for our S197.They were also at the PRI show in Orlando.I called them @ 1-800-788-9353 talked to Jay.No grinding required, rear sway bar RLB needed.
Here is the info i got 15x4 for the front with 1.5" bs = 11.5 lbs.Price from Lane Automotive $ 409.99 + 6% tax each.15x10 for the rear with 6.5" bs =16 lbs.Price from Lane Automotive $ 432.99 + 6% tax.
Lane Automotive 1-800-772-5266.
Hope this helps you guys!

I know welds aren't cheap anymore. (Hence the reason they got bought out by American Racing) If look at Jegs, Weld prostars are actually more than billet specialties now. Born to Run, did you get part numbers and was Lane the only place you checked? I'd buy ccw's with 17" fronts before I'd spend that on welds.

400+ a rim is a joke/rip off.

I want to invest in a set of skinnys and/or better rims evenually.

right now im on stock 17's and m&h drag radials on 17 inch bullit.

Anyone recommand any 15 inch or 17 inch skinny wheel/tire combo for the fronts without any real modifications to pair up w/ my current 17 inch m&h drag radial?

I don't believe the BS is correct for S197s. A 15 X 10 needs 7.5" BS in order to not stick out of the wheel well.

Is this the old greg weld (alumastar styles) or the new greg weld (racelite styles)?

I dont think thats right. The wheels that have the 7.25" BS from Bogart have a spacer welded to the back and need that extra backspace to compensate for the spacer I think. If I 10" wheel is used that doesnt need a spacer I bet the 6.5" BS will be right. Once again I could be all wrong about this, but I had gotten some Roush/Bogarts and this was the case on them. Thats why I ended up not using them.

Well I have a 17 X 9 wheel with a 6.5" BS that sits about perfectly. Much less BS and it would stick out. So given that, I think a 10" wheel with a 6.5" BS would be all wrong for our cars. But I could be wrong.

Oh it won't be "wrong"....unless you think a wheel hanging 2 inches outside the fenderwell is "wrong".
