Guess my ploy is working! Hahahahahaha

You need one. No shame in owning a XLT brother, have you really looked close at the 13 or 14. I bought a FX4 because...

I wanted one! Lol

Love my xlt, even if its only got the slow 5.0 in it.

You can always add FX4 bumpers lol.

haha. Yeah this is what I would "need" in a F-150.

4x4
Ecoboost.

reasons I would want the FX4, overall all the looks, interior, wheels. looking at the deals in my area, the XLT is much more affordable

Mine is an XLT. Loved the FX4 package when test drove it but when all boiled down to it, didn't want to spend the extra money on it as the XLT does everything that I need for it to do for DD and family/house stuff hauling and for $33k which was quite a bit cheaper then any of the local FX4 trucks I found within a state or two.

Although sat nav would be nice.... lol

Is that a spray or a vinyl tint cover? Looks good...

It is a spray. Rust oleum Lens Tint
Probably not the best but it was a trial. And I think it looks good. I want to keep the reflective properties. But that would have required much more time and effort and may not have worked any way.

James are you looking for 4x2 or 4x4? If 4x2 you may not find that type of gearing. And if you don't do a lot of pulling the 3.15 may be ok.

Just for the record my wife is the reason we got a FX4 rather than the XLT. The leather seats and seat ac/heat she fell in live with. She's never had a real luxury vehicle so I got it for her.

She don't even drive it! Lol

Is it going to be a DD, do you really need all the extra options the Fx4 offers?

No, I need none of the extra options the FX4 offers hahaha, IMO the FX4 just looks the best. Its purely cosmetic stuff that makes me want the FX4 haha. It would be DD, family hauler, do some stuff work and home depot runs lol. Hell an STX would probably work for me, but I really want the EB.

Yeah XLT is the way I will most likely go when the time is right.

Rearranged the garage today and put the truck in its new home after getting rid of the Mustang and Fusion last month. Got the Escape for the fiancée and it's got the 2.0L ecoboost in it. Torque steers like a champ!

I can't figure out for the life of me why I get such horrible gas mileage. I'm happy if I get 16 on a tank going to work which is a lot of go 50 for a couple miles then stop... start again. But it's never got good gas mileage and is at 10k miles now. Checked the spark plugs and they were gapped correctly.
3.55 gears too

I am thinking I may go 5.0 strictly cause the EB are barely more efficient and I love the sound of a V8.

I kinda want the 2014 tremor... I had a huge infatuation with the lightning. But I'll wait for the 2015 restyle.

What year is it?

Have you driven an EB? I love the sound of a V8 as much as the next guy, but that instant torque is addicting! Hearing those turbos spool up is nice too!

If going for a V8 why not get the 6.2L while they're still around (gone after 2014 I believe)?

Yeah I've driven quite a few EBs and they do pull hard. But I love hearing my motor and the EB doesn't really have anything to make the exhaust sound good. But spool is nice. It's so hard to find a 6.2 truck
