May be a dumb questions, but are TSB's fixed at the dealer for free?

No matter on how long you've had the problem?

You were kinder than me... I would have been an a-hole said "look at the first three words of Post #1 of this thread".

Why do that when you can be a lazy fat worthless POS and ask society to solve all your problems for you with absolutely no effort put forth on your part to improve or fix the problem.

Man you guys make it seem like I asked for you to lend me $1000 dollars. If it is this hard for you great guys to help someone by just answering a question which only involves typing a few words I can only imagine how you would react to actually going out of your way to help someone.

Thank you joedls.

Don W thank you for sparing me.

Zman ........whatever.

Now I guess I should almost be scared to ask another question but I will. I am sure some one will respond with "you should have checked post blah, blah blah, you lazy prick!".

These Technical service bulletins, are they just reports for Ford techs, or are they actually reports about common issues involving our cars that need to be resolved under warranty?

Don't take it personally, dude, they're just giving you a hard time, which is sort of traditional....happened to me and I can assure you it will happen to you and me again!

Print the TSB and take it to your dealer for the TSB to be done. Yes, they refer to common problems with our cars that will be resolved under warranty.

Now I have a question from the forums "iluminati": from reading the paragraph at the end of the TSB, it almost makes it sound as if the TSBs will only be performed if the car is still under warranty...is that so?

My car just went pas the "bumper-to-bumper" warranty of 36k miles, but naturally it's still under the 60 month/ 60,000 mile powertrain warranty, so it won't be an issue in my case....just asking the question for general information.

Haha you can ask anything you want to on here. You can fucking swear and cuss, you can even call SD gay if you want to, but there might be a some shit you take for doing it. My advice, don't take it personnaly.

To answer your question, I believe that it depends on the type of TSB it is. I believe that it doesn't matter for safety TSB's, however other types of TSB's may not be covered unless your under warrenty. I think a case in point would be either the alternator or battery, I think that there was a TSB for one of those for the 05 but the part was only replaced on vehicles still under warrenty. I could be wrong though.

There is no such thing as a "Safety" TSB. Any safety related issues would be repaired under normal warranty guidelines or a "Recall" which is VIN specific - not a TSB. TSBs do NOT extend any type of warranty - standard or extended. TSBs are only technical "information" to assist the technician in identifying and resolving a known issue that may not be part of the normal troubleshooting process or described in the WSM. Nothing more.

Now having said that, if you have a TSB in hand which describes your complaint, you have a much better chance of getting a problem resolved inside or outside of traditional warranty limitations.

Thanks, I was confusing a recall with the TSB.

I've got an '05 GT with 62 k miles on it. I've not had any problem's with except for that junky throttle body it came with. It has been cold here in north Alabama the last few days, lows in the teens and highs around 32. This morning my wife starts on a trip and the fuel gauge and the heat hand are screwed up. The fuel is reading every where with a full tank and the heat hand is pegged out. I checked it, it's not hot. Is this a know problem with these cars also? Thanks
