Ok, on another forum I got grief for my tribuite to my dad, his 1968 Shelby GT350 and my birth year. All I can say, is it is my car, the best and most important judge in the world worked with me on it and loved it. Now it is not a 1968 Shelby GT350, so before anyone tells me the hoods all wrong etc etc...This is a tribute to my dads car as he had it..he did have rear window louvers on his...he obviously added them....this is a twist in the sense that some of the items on my dads 68 shelby gt 350 would not look right on our S197. My dad loves it and thats what I was aiming for,,,

Whose rear window louvers are those? I'm trying to combat the 3,000 degree interior temps when getting into the car after work and I've been considering the Cervini's. I've seen the Saleen Parnelli Jones edition and the ones on there appear to be plastic. I'd prefer aluminum, so any help (or closer photos) would be greatly appreciated! Having owned a '68 GT350 myself I think the car is a great tribute.. There are obviously a number of things you could do differently for the sake of 'authenticity', but it looks great.

For those that consider that temp to be greatly exaggerated, I went home for lunch last summer and left the windows down while I was inside. The thermometer was still pegged at 180+ when I came out and didn't start to register until the a/c had been on for almost 5 minutes. The thermometer was clipped to the sun visor.

+1 on the rear lover, been thinking about it lately but not sure if I want to do it. If you got more pics of it please post.
